How does a Zwitscherbox work?

The system with the built-in motion sensor

The operation of a Zwitscherbox is completely wireless and automated. Each box features a subtle motion sensor on the front that responds to changes in light or active movement.
 
  • Automatic activation: As soon as you come near the sound box (for example, when walking into the restroom), the bird sounds start instantly. You never have to press a button.
     
  • Automatic shut-off: After a fixed period, the sound stops completely by itself if no further movement is detected. This ensures that the nature sounds never become intrusive, but instead create a subtle moment of calm.

How long does a Zwitscherbox play bird sounds?     

The exact playback time of the natural sounds depends on the model you choose from the Relaxound collection:
 
  • Classic Zwitscherbox: Plays approximately 120 seconds of birdsong. This is by far the most popular option for a relaxed experience.
  • Zwitscherbox Satellite: Plays approximately 60 seconds of sound.
  • Birdybox: Plays approximately 20 seconds of bird sounds and is therefore very subtle.
     

Does a Zwitscherbox run on batteries or is it rechargeable?

Depending on where you want to place the bird house sound box, you can choose between two different power supplies:
 
  • Battery-powered: The classic version operates on 3 standard AA batteries (included).   • Rechargeable via USB-C: The more modern variants, such as the Satellite and the Birdybox, feature an internal rechargeable battery. You can easily charge these using the included USB cable.
     

Volume control and switching off

The sound can be adjusted entirely to your liking. On the side or back of the box, there is a small wheel (volume knob). This allows you to easily turn the birdsong up or down. Want complete silence for a moment? You can also turn the device completely off using this same wheel.
